Business travelers are, in many ways, the customers who created more customers. They are some of the most passionate members of the Airbnb community, pioneers who experience the future of travel a little earlier than everyone else. These travelers become our strongest advocates, not only to fellow travelers but also to company administrators and decision-makers.
In 2019, they became a key focus for the brand. Our goal was to grow awareness of Airbnb as a credible and inspiring option for work trips by creating content and experiences that spoke directly to them.
We developed partnerships with culturally relevant people like Demarcus Cousins, a Golden State Warrior, and celebrity chef Aarón Sánchez to tell real stories about how professionals were using Airbnb in unique and meaningful ways. Each story highlighted different aspects of the platform, from flexibility and comfort to connection and creativity, while reinforcing Airbnb’s value for modern business travel.
